Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Yipiit, trust scores, and company certification.
Yipiit is a trust verification platform that rates companies on governance, transparency, stewardship, and responsiveness. We aggregate public data from regulatory filings, disclosures, and stakeholder signals to produce a Yipiit Score for every company — public and private — across 50+ countries.
The Yipiit Score is a composite metric (0–100) derived from four pillars: Governance Integrity, Transparency, Stewardship, and Responsiveness. Each pillar draws on primary public sources including SEC/regulatory filings, ESG disclosures, board composition data, and stakeholder feedback. Scores are recalculated daily.
Yes. Searching companies, viewing Yipiit Scores, and browsing public profiles is completely free. Yipiit Pro unlocks advanced features including detailed governance breakdowns, peer benchmarking, job board access, and the ability to claim and manage your company's profile.
Click 'Claim Your Company' from any unclaimed company profile or the homepage. You'll verify ownership by confirming access to a corporate email address at the company's registered domain. Once verified, you can manage your profile, respond to reviews, post jobs, and work toward Yipiit Certification.
Yipiit Certification is a continuous trust mark awarded to companies that maintain a Yipiit Score of 75+, have verified their profile, and have no unresolved trust events in the past 90 days. Unlike traditional certifications, it is recalculated daily — not based on annual audits.
Traditional ESG ratings rely on company-submitted questionnaires and periodic reviews. Yipiit uses only primary public sources and recalculates daily, providing a real-time signal rather than a point-in-time snapshot. We also cover private companies and focus on governance and stewardship rather than solely environmental metrics.
Yes. Verified company owners can submit a dispute through their Company Dashboard. Our team reviews disputes within 5 business days. If source data is found to be inaccurate or outdated, scores are recalculated. You can also report inaccuracies via the 'Report Inaccuracy' link on any company profile.
Yipiit aggregates data from regulatory filings (SEC, Companies House, ASIC, etc.), corporate governance disclosures, proxy statements, annual reports, ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD), news sources, and verified stakeholder feedback. We never use self-reported questionnaires as a primary source.
