Yipiit Trust Certification
How companies earn and maintain Yipiit certification.
What is Yipiit Certification?
Yipiit Certification is a continuous-signal trust mark awarded to companies that meet thresholds across governance, transparency, stewardship, and response responsiveness. It is not a one-time audit — it is recalculated daily from primary public sources.
Unlike traditional certifications that rely on periodic self-reported questionnaires, Yipiit Certification draws on real-time regulatory filings, disclosure patterns, stakeholder signals, and governance structures to produce an always-current assessment of a company's trustworthiness.
The Four Pillars
Governance Integrity
Board independence, committee structure, voting rights, and executive accountability mechanisms.
Transparency
Disclosure quality, ESG reporting, regulatory filings cadence, and information accessibility.
Stewardship
Long-term capital allocation, employee treatment, supplier conduct, and environmental responsibility.
Responsiveness
How quickly the company addresses verified concerns, responds to stakeholder inquiries, and resolves flagged trust events.
Certification Tiers
Observed
Default tier. The company is tracked using public data only. No verification or claim has been made by the company itself. Scores are generated from regulatory filings and public disclosures.
Verified
The company has claimed and verified ownership of their Yipiit profile. Verification is completed via corporate email domain confirmation. Verified companies can manage their profile, respond to reviews, and post updates.
Certified
The highest tier. Requires Verified status, a Yipiit Score of 75 or above, and no unresolved trust events in the past 90 days. Certified companies receive the Yipiit Certified badge, priority placement in search results, and access to premium trust signals.
